To capsulate my journey as a student designer in one collection seamed like a daunting task when I began the process. I decided to create a collection that spoke to my younger self who longed to be able to do what I had now been given the opportunity for. This collection represents a journey from the moment I heard the term "fashion designer", now no longer a student, and every time in between I sat down at a sewing machine.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, my senior fashion show was canceled and I chose to pause work on this collection.
This mini unnamed collection represents my last body of work as a student designer and a challenging time in my life when all the hard work that went into this collection would never see the ending I had once hoped for. Months later, I am proud of its completion because it reminds me to never forget why I started in the first place.
